Friends of Col. Bruce Hampton have collected their thoughts and recollections of Bruce to make the first comprehensive history of The Colonel's career. "Basically Frightened" is a hilarious biography of a man known for making strange music and forming stranger bands. His career includes landing the largest recording contract for any Southern band, becoming a professional wrestling phenomenon, organizing and executing the H.O.R.D.E. Tour, and acting in award winning movies. Bruce is most known for the many bands he has formed over the years, including The Hampton Grease Band, Late Bronze Age, and The Aquarium Rescue Unit.
